UUK IS-8 Analytical Dashboard (2021-2025)

Welcome to this analytical dashboard, developed by Elsevier's Data and Analytical Services.

The dashboard maps UK university research outputs (2021-2025) against seven of the eight sectors of the UK Industrial Strategy (IS-8), and provides evidence on the scale, quality, and collaboration patterns of that research. Defence is excluded as a significant share of directly defence-related work is classified and does not appear in publication data, making publication-based mapping less reliable for this sector than for the others. This page presents the regional view only. Use the Overview tab to explore performance by region, and the Sector Deep Dive tab to focus on specific IS-8 sectors.
